Five elements to benefit your spinal discs

Essential nutrients to replenish your body

The ingredients of the vertebene® disc capsules exist already in absorbable form in your spinal discs. This ensures that your body can effectively absorb the nutrients and carry them to your spinal discs.

Vitamin C is well known as an antioxidant. It has now been confirmed by the EU that Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage (EFSA Journal 2009; 7 (9): 1226)

Collagen is a fibrous structural protein of the connective tissue. It is the most common protein in the human body. Collagen therefore plays an essential role in building the spine. As structure-giving protein it is the most important building nutrient in the vertebrae and vertebral arches and all cartilage of the vertebral joints, especially the intervertebral discs. Furthermore, collagen strengthens the tendons and skeletal muscles as well as the ligaments supporting the vertebral column. The supply of collagen is important for maintaining healthy joints and healthy bone structures.

Hyaluronic acid is capable of absorbing large volumes of water. This quality is essential to store water in the nucleus pulposus of the intervertebral discs, so they can fulfill their function as shock absorbers as well. Moreover hyaluronic acid is the most important component of the connective tissue matrix.  It is also a major component of the synovial fluid (synovia) which principle role is to provide frictionless movement.
Bamboo extract contains at least 75% of natural silicic acid that contribute to the elasticity of the connective tissue and ensure its stability. The purpose of silicic acid is to establish the cross-linking between mucopolysaccharides, collagen and elastin. The interaction of these endogenous component fibers absorb shocks actively through deflection of the impacting forces in the elastic structures of the spinal column ligaments.

N-Acteyl Glucosamine acts as water storage of the intervertebral discs and articular cartilage and is the essential component of the synovial fluid. By supplying water and nutrients, the cartilage metabolism is stimulated which builds new cushioning layers. N-Acetyl Glucosamine also develops anti-inflammatory and pain reducing properties and is responsible for the balance between cartilage build-up and cartilage degradation.

L-Lysine is an essential amino acid in humans. It can not be produced by the body itself, but must be furnished externally. L-Lysine is used for bone and muscle growth, supports the release of growth hormones and stimulates the immune system. L-Lysine regulates the nitrogen balance in the muscles and promotes the storage of calcium in the bones, thus contributing to a slowdown of osteoporosis.
